  1. What is ListPower?

ListPower is the combination of a web-based e-mail list management service and the provider/manager of topical information. This means that ListPower provides a way for you to keep in touch with customers, friends and others by allowing you to run your own e-mail list and join the lists of others.

  2. What is the difference between a list owner and a list member?

The list owner is the individual who establishes and runs the list. He or she is responsible for determining what type of list it is. The list owner can also invite people to join and remove members from a list. List members are those who are signed up to receive mail that is sent to the list.

If you have specific questions about being a List Owner, you can can consult our List Owner FAQ. If you have questions about being a member of a mailing list, please check out our List Member FAQ.

  3. How do I start a ListPower list of my own?

Getting started with ListPower is easy. Just complete the sign up form and you are ready to go. You don't even need to have a web site of your own.

  4. How do I generate revenue as a List Owner or Affiliate Member?

When your members subscribe to your Email List, they are invited to subscribe to ListPower's Announcement services. ListPower rents these lists out to Ad Agencies or Advertisers themselves, to bring relevant and topical information to your members. As a result, revenues are generated.  These revenues are shared between ListPower, the ListOwners, and the Referrals.

  5. How much does it cost to use ListPower?

Being a member (or subscriber) of a list is free. Being a List Owner is also free.

  6. I'm having trouble logging in. What can I do?

You can log in to your ListPower account at ListPower's main page. Be sure that you are using the correct login, ie, Subscriber or List Owner. If you are a List Member, List Owner Login will not necessarily recognize your e-mail address or password. Likewise if you are a List Owner, List Member Login may not recognize your login information. If the password that you are using is not recognized, you can have your password sent to you by clicking on the "Forgot Your Login Info?" link below the password box.

  7. How do you prevent someone from subscribing someone else to a list? What is a verification message?

The first time someone joins a ListPower list, they will be sent a verification message. The member must first respond to this message before they will start receiving mail. This allows us to verify that the member can receive mail, and to prevent someone from maliciously adding someone else to a list.

  8. Can I send a message of any size through ListPower?

Messages sent through ListPower Free can be no larger than 100k in size.
